Our Process for the Pre-Sale Detail

We start with a simple blowout of the interior using an air tool. This allows us to reach into all the places that cannot be reached by hand and agitate the debris to make it easier to remove.

In order to fully restore the carpets and seats (within reason), we start by vacuuming these areas and follow up with an enzymatic cleaner. The enzymatic cleaner attacks any living bacteria caused from food, drinks, vomit, pee, poo and other types of living bacteria. After this, we saturate the surface with fabric shampoo to break down any grime, dead skin, dirt and other non-living contaminants. Following this we promptly steam the surface to help activate these cleaners and break down and emulsify the dirt before quickly mopping it up with a microfibre cloth. We repeat the process as many time as necessary.

We start wiping down the interior using a microfibre cloth and some all purpose cleaner (APC). This cleaner is safe for all interior surfaces and excels in removing dirt, oils, dead skin, food and other debris that may be found on your steering wheel, door cards and centre console. We then further clean these surfaces by utilizing a detail brush and a high pressure steamer on every nook and cranny such as window switches, door handles, indicators, buttons and more.

We detail the most commonly used parts of the vehicle such as the steering wheel and the centre console. This is generally where the most dead skin accumulation occurs and hence why we like to focus our attention on these areas. We liberally clean the cupholders, steering wheel and shifter by utilizing a detail brush, scrub pad and steamer o break down and emulsify the dead skin and food build up and promptly remove it with a microfibre cloth, ensuring a safe and effective clean.

As we approach the end of the interior portion of the mini detail, we finish by cleaning the glass. Our secret method ensures streak free glass, even in direct sunlight. We aim to remove the streaking that appears when the sun hits your windshield even immediately after a quick wash at a hand car wash.

We start our wheel cleaning process by first rinsing the wheel. This allows us to remove the majority of the break dust build-up prior to performing a contact wash, ensuring a safe and effective wheel clean. We then use a dedicated wheel cleaner to chemically break down the brake dust, again, ensuring for a safer contact wash, minimizing swirling and scratches. Finally we move on to the contact wash where we spray lots of foam onto the wheel to ensure extreme lubrication for the safest wash possible. Use a combination of microfibre and brushes to agitate the wheel face, logo, valve stem, lug nuts and the barrel with specialised barrel brushes. After the wheel agitation stage is over, we scrub the wheel to break down the dirt that causes the brown look on the wheel. Finally we finish with one last pressure rinse to remove any remaining brake dust.

We begin our paint cleaning with a pH neutral citrus pre wash to safely encapsulate all dirt and debris that is chemically bonded not only on the paintwork, but also in the grille, emblems and hard to reach areas. We follow up with a quick pressure rinse to break down and remove any dangerous contaminants such as bird poo, dirt, mud, tar, grime and dust. This minimizes our chance of induces swirls and scratches from dragging these contaminants through the paint. The next step involves foaming the vehicle to ensure every square millimetre of the vehicle is lubricated before commencing a contact wash. Our microfibre wash mitts are also dunked in soap to ensure maximum lubrication and every part of the vehicle is wiped clean. By utilising methods such as the two-bucket method and the use of a grit guard, we can ensure the safest contact wash possible. Additionally, we utilise safe synthetic detail brushes to remove remaining debris from the emblems, logos, grille and seams. Finally we finish with a final rinse of the vehicle where we then dry the paintwork with dedicated microfibre towels and a drying aid to lubricate and protect the paints surface as we dry the car. This leaves your vehicle glossy and protected for a short period of time.

We finish the Pre-Sale Detail by inspecting the vehicle for any spots that we might have missed and perform any needed touch-ups. We then proceed to apply tyre shine to finish the job.
